Congratulations on the official establishment of the Future Media Computing Lab! We look forward to the lab making groundbreaking contributions to the field of AI and intelligent media computing.

我们荣幸地宣布，未来媒体计算实验室（FMC）正式成立。该实验室隶属于中国科学技术大学信息科学与技术学院，是国家级前沿研究实验室。实验室由国际知名的多媒体理解与人工智能专家常晓军教授领衔，杨勋教授担任副主任。

未来媒体计算实验室致力于推进人工智能驱动的媒体计算前沿技术，重点关注智能内容分析、生成、交互和传输。实验室旨在弥合人类认知与机器感知之间的差距，推动理论基础和实际应用的创新。

该实验室目前拥有一批多元化的博士生、硕士生和博士后研究人员，并与各机构和国际大学密切合作。FMCL 致力于营造开放、包容、创新的研究环境，欢迎热衷于塑造智能媒体未来的学生和学者。

We are pleased to announce the official establishment of the Future Media Computing Lab (FMC), a cutting-edge research lab under the School of Information Science and Technology at the University of Science and Technology of China. The lab is led by Professor Xiaojun Chang, a globally recognized expert in multimedia understanding and artificial intelligence, with Professor Xun Yang serving as the deputy director.

Future Media Computing Lab is committed to advancing the frontiers of AI-driven media computing, with a focus on intelligent content analysis, generation, interaction, and transmission. The lab aims to bridge the gap between human cognition and machine perception, driving innovation in both theoretical foundations and real-world applications.

The lab currently hosts a diverse group of Ph.D. students, master’s candidates, and postdoctoral researchers, with close collaborations across institutions and international universities. FMCL fosters an open, inclusive, and innovative research environment, welcoming students and scholars with a passion for shaping the future of intelligent media.
